Hand of Man Series

This series is about the destruction of native forest and roadside vegetation and loss of agricultural and rural land by subdivision and sale for suburban homes and hobby farms.

Increased population means more cars on the roads and more native animal fatalities such as wombats, wallabies, echidnas etc. Intensive weed growth in gullies creates loss of habitat and pollution of streams from run-off with high nutrients (fertilisers) kills platypus and other stream life.

I have used bits of cars and signs, reflectors, plastic, mirrors and other wire and junk from the roadside. I have used hand-made boxes to create dioramas or small theatres.
